A candid, emotional approach to wedding photography
Wedding photography, for me, means being invisible and present at the same time. I do not direct or stage: I observe, I anticipate, I wait for the right light and the right moment. The result is a collection of images that feel real, because they are. Laughter between friends, a nervous glance before the ceremony, the first dance when no one is watching anymore. This style, often described as candid or documentary wedding photography, is what draws couples to Tuscany from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and beyond, looking for a photographer who can match the authenticity of their day.
Wedding photography across Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Val d’Orcia and beyond
Tuscany offers some of the most extraordinary settings in the world for wedding photography. I have photographed weddings in Florence at Villa Le Fontanelle, in the Chianti hills at Villa Corbinaia and Castello La Leccia, in Siena and the surrounding countryside, in Val d’Orcia among the cypress-lined roads and rolling fields, in Lucca at Villa Grabau and Villa Oliva, along the Argentario coast and on the island of Elba, in the Maremma at Convento di Montepozzali, and at historic estates like Tenuta di Artimino and Borgo di Pietrafitta. Each location has its own light, its own character. Knowing these places well means knowing where to be, and when.
Planning your Tuscany wedding: what to expect
Working with me starts with a conversation. I want to understand who you are as a couple, the feel of your day, and what matters most to you. From there, I take care of everything on my end so that on the day itself you never have to think about the photographs. I cover the full day, from preparations to the reception, and I am used to working alongside wedding planners, videographers and other professionals. I am also available for engagement sessions in Florence and the Tuscan countryside before the wedding.
