Indian Wedding at Fattoria Paterno Tuscany
Divya and Jetain’s wedding
I’ve always been fascinated by Indian culture. I grew up admiring the photographs of Steve McCurry — the atmosphere, the colors, the spirituality, the tradition… everything has always deeply inspired me.
With Divya and Jetain’s wedding, I finally had the opportunity to step into this rich and captivating world, experiencing firsthand a ritual I had only admired from afar.
It was two days of celebration.
The first day was dedicated to the civil ceremony, an intimate event followed by a joyful pizza party at Tenuta i Massini.
The second day was fully devoted to the Hindu wedding, celebrated in traditional attire at the beautiful Fattoria Paterno.
In this photo album, you will find only the images from the second day — the Hindu ceremony.
Jetain got ready at Tenuta i Massini, while Divya prepared in the suite at Fattoria Paterno. Both preparations were truly captivating: the colors, the details, the garments — a feast for the eyes. One of the things that struck me most during Divya’s preparation was the beautiful henna decorations on her hands, and the meticulous attention to detail with her jewelry and bangles — each element told a story.
Before the ceremony, Divya and Jetain met in a private corner of the villa for their first look — an incredibly emotional moment, a burst of pure joy.
After the first look, Jetain returned to Tenuta i Massini to get ready for the Baraat, the traditional and spectacular groom’s procession that takes place before the wedding ceremony.
Meanwhile, Divya remained in her room, awaiting her entrance — as tradition dictates, the bride and groom must not see each other during the Baraat.
Jetain, accompanied by friends and family, made his way to Fattoria Paterno with music, dancing, drums, and singing — an electrifying and visually stunning moment, perfect to capture through the lens.
The procession ended with the Milni ceremony, during which the bride’s family welcomes the groom with flowers and blessings.
At that point, Jetain took his place at the ceremony site. Shortly after, Divya arrived, radiant and accompanied by her father. Her entrance marked the official beginning of the Hindu wedding ceremony.
It was an intense and moving celebration — a whirlwind of colors, rituals, flowers, and flavors. Being part of it was an incredible privilege.
After the ceremony, we took some time for a couple’s shoot in their traditional attire, using the stunning tree-lined road at Fattoria Paterno — a postcard-perfect glimpse of Tuscany.
Before dinner, the newlyweds mingled with their guests inside the elegant rooms overlooking the countryside.
As the guests took their seats in the villa’s inner courtyard, Divya and Jetain changed into their second outfits of the day.
After their grand entrance to start the dinner, we made the most of the golden hour light for one last mini shoot in the private part of the villa — 15 poetic, intimate minutes with a dreamlike Tuscan backdrop.
The evening continued with heartfelt speeches from friends and family, the cutting of the cake under the garden gazebo, and of course, music and dancing that brought this unforgettable day to a perfect close.
Dear Divya and Jetain, it was an honor and a joy to be your photographer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
