Francesca and Joshua are two guys from London, who chose to get married in Tuscany, surrounded by the hills of Chianti, precisely in the beautiful location of Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais in Castellina in Chianti.
The charm of this village is unique, a Tuscan medieval village surrounded by green hills adorned with vineyards and olive groves, composing a picturesque panorama.
Francesca and Joshua’s day wasn’t exactly simple, you might be wondering why…
It rained for the entire day, yes, you heard it right, you can imagine the tension and worry of everyone, both the bride and the guests.
But as they say … Show must go on! The entire wedding took place inside the venue, which is a great choice, especially for those coming from abroad; minimizing travel is essential when schedules are dictated by a timeline.
Francesca’s preparation was beautiful, surrounded by her bridesmaids and maid of honor.
The rain kept pouring, so the couple opted to use the backup plan for the ceremony. Francesca and Joshua exchanged rings and vows inside the deconsecrated church of Borgo di Pietraffita Relais.
As a photographer, it’s never easy to handle all these unexpected events; it takes experience and empathy.
We must always remember that we are humans first and professionals second; we must always ensure high-quality service, but it’s especially important to respect the emotional state of the couple and understand when and how to take certain photographs.
The couple’s photo shoot went very well, despite the very little time we had available, the rain never left us.
The reception took place within the rooms of Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais, with live music and engaging speeches.
